On prices
Serious money at the top end. Buddha images and antiques over ~12 cm need a Fine Arts export licence.
About
Four floors of dealers in Asian antiquities, ceramics, textiles and art, plus auction rooms. The most institutional end of the Thai antiques trade and the right place to start if you want to buy something that will need paperwork to leave the country.
Important: genuine antiques and Buddha images larger than about 12 cm require an export licence from the Fine Arts Department, whatever the dealer tells you. Partial Buddha images cannot be exported at all.
