On prices
Cash, small notes, and hard bargaining. Watch prices are opaque by design.
About
Called ตลาดไฟฉาย, the flashlight market, because it historically traded in the dark and you needed a torch to inspect what you were buying. The name has stuck even though most of it now trades in daylight.
This is the recognised vintage-watch hunting ground in Bangkok, and also where you find electronic parts, used camera gear, tools, fabric bolts and kitchen equipment. Saturday evening is the big session; the surrounding shophouses trade daily.
Almost nobody speaks English and almost nothing is priced. Bring small notes and patience.
