About

Everybody's first stop and still the deepest single pool of stock in Thailand. The thing nobody tells you is that JJ is not one market — it is eight or nine markets sharing a roof, and only four of the twenty-seven sections are worth a vintage buyer's time. Sections 2 to 6 are clothing, running from cheap resale into genuinely curated rails. Sections 22 to 26 are the denser, older end, where the dealers who supply the Thonglor shops actually buy. Sections 1 and 26 carry antiques, ceramics and ephemera.

Go Saturday between 06:00 and 09:00 for first pick, or after 16:00 when vendors start discounting rather than carrying stock home. Friday night from 18:00 is the wholesale session and it is much quieter. Wednesday and Thursday daytime are plants and fish only — do not make that trip.

Bring cash in small notes, bring water, and accept that you will get lost. Section numbers are painted on the walkway posts, not the stalls.
